 Fort Collins Spreading Awareness
Last December Colorado State University began handing out the Ace of Spades card. The card was created by former Sigma Pi fraternity members at CSU to remember the recent alcohol-related deaths including that of CSU student Samantha Spady, who died of alcohol poisoning in the fall of 2004. The wallet-sized card includes a list of warning signs and symptoms of alcohol poisoning and directions to call 911 in the event a person experiences any of the listed symptoms. Cardholders are also expected to follow the pledge printed on the front of the card.
